Venture Partner

Dan Newman is Venture Partner within the technology team. He joined Sofinnova Partners in 2007 after a long relationship with the firm managing seven co-investments and most recently leading the recapitalisation of WebDialogs and its sale to IBM and the partial sale of Sefas.  He also serves as Managing Partner of Cross Atlantic Ventures, an early stage VC fund based in Boston.  Prior to joining Cross Atlantic Ventures in 1999, Dan was the Founder and Managing Director of Cross Atlantic Advisory, Inc., a technology-focused strategy consulting and market research firm based in Boston.  Previously, he was a Consultant and Project Leader with several international consulting firms including Lochridge & Company (1986-91), Tenex Consulting (1992-93) and SMG (1994-97).  He brings more than 25 years of venture capital, strategy consulting, and hands-on management experience to his portfolio companies.  Dan currently serves on boards in the United States and France including 6Wind, Beeware, Qosmos, Sefas and Volubill.  Dan holds an MBA from Babson College and a B.S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University.
