Esmertec and Yuhua TelTech Set New Benchmark with 1-stop Solution for Linux®-Based Mobile Devices

A pre-integrated software solution on Yuhua TelTech’s Linux-based platform for mobile devices

DUEBENDORF-ZURICH, Switzerland - December 5, 2006 – Esmertec™ (SWX: ESMN), a focused provider of software and services to communications device manufacturers and mobile telecom operators, announces that Yuhua TelTech, a leading Chinese Independent Design House (IDH) for mobile devices, has chosen Esmertec's 1-stop solution for its Linux-based platform for mobile devices and smart phones. The platform will be shipped on Linux-based handset devices for the European and Chinese market at the end of December 2006.

Esmertec's highly portable 1-stop solution comprises Esmertec's award-winning Jbed™ Java™ Virtual Machine (JVM) and its unique u@™ application suite, which consists of a Multimedia Messaging Client, a WAP browser and a Digital Rights Management (DRM) application

By pre-integrating this solution on Yuhua's platform, the difficulties in dealing with various suppliers of WAP, MMS and JVM solutions are substantially reduced. Therefore handset manufacturers are enabled to achieve faster time-to-market without compromising on integration and compliancy issues or on interactive end-user experience requirements.
