Grenoble, France, 15 November 2005: VoluBill, a leading provider of Data and Content charging solutions for mobile Operators (GPRS, EDGE, 3G, WiFi), has appointed John Aalbers as CEO, effective from the beginning of January 2006.

Aalbers, aged 38, brings to VoluBill over 14 years of experience in Telecommunications software He has worked in senior roles in sales, marketing and product operations and is regarded as a key player in the domain of real time, mediation and charging applications.

John’s experience in telecoms dates back to the early 1990s. From 1992 to Dec 2000 he worked for CGI (Computer Generation Inc) building their Mediation business in EMEA and APAC. In 1998, CGI appointed John as President for the Europe and Asia Pacific regions. John actively participated in the sale of CGI to Intec Telecom Systems at the end of 2000. More recently John‘s role at Intec has been as VP for Charging and Billing Products. He has been a member of the executive team responsible for Intec’s global expansion and impressive growth over the last 5 years
 
André Meyer, a co-founder and CEO of VoluBill since 2002, who was instrumental in the development of VoluBill, will move to the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
During Meyer’s tenure as CEO, the company has grown dynamically and established itself as the leading independent data charging company, with GPRS and 3G reference customers such as Airtel, Orange, Globe Telecom, Celcom and Orascom in all regions and global partners.

He spearheaded the development of a comprehensive range of carrier class charging solutions for the telecoms operators and laid the foundations for Volubill’s next phase of growth.
