Demonstrations Highlight the Power of Contactless Technology for Ubiquitous ID Deployments and Loyalty Program Aggregation

AIX-EN-PROVENCE, France, April 14, 2010 – Highlighting its continuing commitment to the Asia Pacific region, INSIDE Contactless, a leading provider of advanced, open-standard contactless chip technologies, today announced it will be exhibiting at Cards Asia 2010 in Booth 4J09 in the Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre, April 21 to 23.  This year, INSIDE will feature two demonstrations: a flexible, cost-effective mobile solution for verifying driver licenses, voting cards, residence permits, healthcare cards and a variety of other electronic identity documents; and a convenient and affordable way for mobile phone stickers to replace plastic loyalty and membership cards from a variety of retail merchants.

INSIDE will be demonstrating its standards-based ICAO-lite cards and how they can be easily read by an ICAO-compliant NFC commercial phone. The e-ID product is based on INSIDE’s micropass® contactless application platform, and INSIDE will explain how its ICAO-based approach combines the robustness and knowledge gained from ICAO workflows with the versatility of the smart card industry and its ability to manage secure transactions and information to extend the utility and benefits of ICAO beyond e-Passports.

INSIDE also will be demonstrating the Taggo service, which uses ID stickers based on INSIDE’s picopass® 2KS contactless memory chip and contactless readers based on INSIDE’s M210-2G proximity coupler.  Customers attach a small picopass®-based Taggo sticker to their mobile phone and join programs through a simple SMS text message, or by browsing the my-Taggo website (www.my-taggo.com). All the enrollment details are automatically sent to the retailer as if the customer had filled out an enrollment form. Customers tap their phones at the point of sale to enjoy the same benefits as presenting a plastic loyalty card.

Taggo will demonstrate a loyalty and CRM solution provided by Memberson, a Taggo VAR and a leading provider of loyalty programs in Asia.
Attendees also will be able to obtain information on all of INSIDE’s NFC and contactless payment products – including its market-leading micropass®  and microread®  products – and discuss their needs with company representatives.
