Sendo has chosen Esmertec’s Java solution for its mobile phones

Birmingham, UK and Duebendorf-Zurich, Switzerland – November 23, 2004 – Sendo (www.sendo.com), a supplier of wireless handsets and award winning smartphones in Europe, and Esmertec™, a leading provider of Java™ solutions for mobile phones and embedded devices, have signed an agreement for the supply of Esmertec’s Java solutions to Sendo.

Under the agreement, Esmertec has delivered its high-performance Jbed™ CLDC / MIDP2.0 solution to Sendo to enable Java applications including games and email.  Java solutions are integrated in Sendo’s present feature phones such as the sleek and stylish M570, based on an award winning clamshell design. Esmertec’s solution is also available on the new range of camera phones, including Sendo’s first phone in the Vodafone live! range.
